Two citizens appealed against the order of the President of the Luanda Court of Appeal refusing their habeas corpus application, alleging that they had been brought before a judge for first questioning only eleven days after their arrest, in breach of the 48-hour limit, and contesting the view that the unlawfulness had been cured for lack of currency. Finding that the appellants had meanwhile been released on an identity and residence undertaking, the Court closed the proceedings as moot.
