The appellant brought an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against a Supreme Court judgment upholding his conviction, alleging single-judge trial instead of a full bench, lack of reasoning, failure to gather evidence and breach of the presumption of innocence. The Court dismissed the appeal because single-judge trial was covered by a resolution of the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSMJ), the decision was reasoned, and defence rights and in dubio pro reo had been respected.
