The appellant brought an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against a Supreme Court judgment upholding his conviction for simple homicide and setting compensation for the victim's family, alleging disregard of his statements and breaches of material truth, free assessment of evidence, in dubio pro reo, legality and fair trial. The Court dismissed the appeal because he had effectively enjoyed the rights of defence, to be heard and of access to justice throughout the proceedings.
