The appellant, sentenced to 25 years' imprisonment for aggravated homicide and arson, lodged an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against a Supreme Court judgment upholding the conviction, alleging insufficient circumstantial evidence, unexamined nullities and breaches of the presumption of innocence, in dubio pro reo and a fair trial. The Court dismissed the appeal, since it does not reassess evidence and there was no arbitrariness, lack of reasoning or curtailment of defence rights.
