Halliburton Overseas Limited – Angola Branch lodged an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against a judgment of the Labour Chamber of the Supreme Court upholding the nullity of an employee's dismissal, after refusing to apply, as unconstitutional, the rule requiring prior out-of-court dispute resolution. The Court dismissed the appeal because that refusal could only be challenged by an ordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality, and the judgment was sufficiently reasoned, with no breach of a fair trial.
