The Associação Instituto Jean Piaget de Angola lodged an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against a Supreme Court judgment overturning a decision of the Benguela Provincial Court in an action for the return of a property, alleging insufficient reasoning, the failure to hear its application for annulment and breach of the principle of equality. The Court dismissed the appeal, as the decision was reasoned, the Supreme Court's jurisdiction had been exhausted and the alleged inequality had not been substantiated.
