On Monday, 7 August 2023, the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Angola, Justice Laurinda Prazeres Monteiro Cardoso, travelled to the Republic of Indonesia to take part, as a speaker, in the International Forum of Chief Justices, which will be held in Jakarta on the 10th and 11th of this month.
At the event, which will bring together delegations from Algeria, Angola, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Namibia, South Africa, Thailand and Turkey, as well as representatives of the Conference of Constitutional Jurisdictions of Africa, in addition to the host country, Justice Laurinda Cardoso will give a presentation on Current Challenges and Future Directions for Strengthening Democracy through Constitutional Jurisdictions.
On the sidelines of the meeting, which is being held under the motto Strengthening Democracy through Constitutional Courts: Past, Present and Future, and which will be opened by the President of Indonesia, Justice Laurinda Cardoso will sign a memorandum of understanding with the Constitutional Court of Indonesia, which will set out the general lines of cooperation between the two higher judicial institutions.
