INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON CYBERSECURITY IN SUPERIOR COURTS

What technological threats does the Constitutional Court face?

How can it prevent and defend itself against such threats?

These and other questions were answered by Patrício Correia, cybersecurity specialist at the Constitutional Court of Angola, during the Seminário Internacional de Segurança Cibernética nas Cortes Superiores (International Seminar on Cybersecurity in Superior Courts), recently held in the Federative Republic of Brazil.

The event, which took place on 24 and 25 August 2023, aimed to promote exchange and good practice and to recommend cybersecurity actions applicable to the bodies at the apex of the judiciary, and addressed a range of topics, notably information management and security, cyber attacks, and trends in monitoring and countering them.

In addition to Angola and the host country, Brazil, the gathering brought together those responsible for cybersecurity at the Superior Courts of Estonia, the United States of America, Luxembourg and Singapore.

Patrício Correia, adviser at the Information Systems and Technology Office of the Constitutional Court of Angola, took part in the event at the invitation of Professor Rosa Weber, Justice and President of the Federal Supreme Court of Brazil.
