The Vice-President of the Constitutional Court, Justice Victória Izata, is coordinating the institution's delegation taking part in the Congresso Nacional da Reconciliação (National Congress on Reconciliation), under way in Luanda and promoted by the Episcopal Conference of Angola and São Tomé (CEAST).

The meeting, which began on Thursday, 6 November, ends this Saturday, 8 November, with an ecumenical service. The event is a space for reflection and sharing, as part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of Angola's Independence, which will be marked on 11 November.

More than 600 delegates from the country's 21 Provinces are taking part in the congress, reflecting on Angola's journey over five decades of independence.

The opening session was chaired by Dom José Manuel Imbamba, President of CEAST and Archbishop of Saurimo, who welcomed the participants and highlighted the spirit guiding the meeting.

In addition to the Vice-President, the Constitutional Court's delegation includes Justices Carlos Teixeira, Maria de Fátima, Gilberto Magalhães, Victorino Hossi and Emiliana Quessongo.
