The President of the Constitutional Court, Justice Laurinda Prazeres Monteiro Cardoso, shared some reflections this Wednesday, 28 May 2025, during the final class of the postgraduate course in Private Law, at the invitation of the University of Florence.
During the interaction, conducted entirely in English via the Zoom platform, Laurinda Cardoso, who was invited by the course coordinator, Professor Ettore M Lombardi, addressed various topics, with particular emphasis on the current global political landscape and its relationship with Law, and also shared her experience as a young woman and public servant in a context such as the African one, and the Angolan one in particular, thereby serving as an inspiration to the students of that prestigious Italian institution.
The judge shared a few brief words of encouragement, urging the young recent graduates to devote themselves diligently to their academic training, always keeping in mind the pairing of education and human relations, with due regard for respect for the dignity of the human person.
