The celebrations of the 18 years since the institutionalisation of the Constitutional Court came to a close this Saturday, 27 June 2026, at the Palace of Justice, with an activity dedicated to children, highlighted by the performance of the play “Reino dos Direitos” (Kingdom of Rights), staged by the theatre group Grupo de Teatro Artes Cénicas.
The initiative provided moments of socialising, learning and entertainment for the children of staff members and for all the children and families who joined the celebration, bringing the festivities to a close in an atmosphere of joy, sharing of knowledge and closer ties between the institution and the community.
Educational and recreational in nature, the programme included, in addition to the play, performances by clowns, various games and moments of interaction between children and adults.
The ceremony was also marked by the launch of Season II of the Children's Constitution (Constituição Infantil), an initiative that reinforces the Constitutional Court's commitment to promoting literacy for citizenship and to disseminating constitutional values and principles among children.
The event was attended by the President of the Constitutional Court, Justice Laurinda Prazeres, Justice Gilberto Magalhães and various guests, both children and adults.
