The Constitutional Court of Angola is taking part, on 9 and 10 July 2026, in the International Bar Association (IBA) Judges' Forum, being held in Abuja, Federal Republic of Nigeria, under the motto “In Defence of Justice”.
The Constitutional Court is represented at the event by Justice Gilberto de Faria Magalhães.
The meeting brings together judges from various jurisdictions to discuss topics relating to the independence of the judiciary, judicial training, the use of artificial intelligence in the administration of justice, the relationship between the judiciary and the legal profession, and the criteria for the selection of judges.
The participation of the Constitutional Court of Angola in this important international forum results from an invitation extended by the Chief Justice of Nigeria to the President of the Constitutional Court, Justice Laurinda Prazeres, and forms part of the strategy of strengthening international cooperation and the exchange of experience with counterpart institutions, contributing to the promotion of constitutional justice and of the Democratic State based on the Rule of Law.
