CONVERSAS SOBRE O CONSTITUCIONALISMO ANGOLANO (CONVERSATIONS ON ANGOLAN CONSTITUTIONALISM)

With the jurist and academic Raul Araújo.

Next Thursday, 11 June 2026, the Constitutional Court will hold at the Palace of Justice another edition of “Conversas sobre o Constitucionalismo Angolano”, an initiative for the sharing of knowledge and experience between the protagonists and forerunners of Angolan constitutionalism and the new generations.

The event forms part of the celebrations of the 18th anniversary of the institutionalisation of the Constitutional Court, and its guest will be the jurist and academic Raul Araújo.

For two hours, Professor Raul Araújo, a former Justice of the Constitutional Court, will hold an open conversation with an audience made up mainly of university students and young people interested in legal and constitutional issues. On that occasion, he will share his experience of, and participation in, the main moments that have marked the evolution of Angolan constitutionalism over the last fifty years, giving participants a theoretical and practical insight into the building and consolidation of the country's constitutional order.

The “Conversas sobre o Constitucionalismo Angolano” forum is a platform for dialogue and the transmission of knowledge between the protagonists of Angola's constitutional journey and the new generations. The initiative seeks to promote a better understanding of Angola's legal, political and constitutional evolution, while reaffirming the role of the Constitutional Court as guardian of the Constitution of the Republic of Angola and guarantor of the principles and values of the democratic State based on the rule of law.
