In an attempt to promote conciliation among the members of the Angolan Humanist Party (PHA), following internal disputes, the President of the Constitutional Court, Justice Laurinda Prazeres, invited and received, on Thursday, 2 April 2026, the President of the Angolan Humanist Party, Florbela Malaquias, and the members of her Political Committee, as an exercise in institutional counselling and conflict mediation, with a view to restoring the normal functioning of that political organisation.

The meeting followed the preliminary assessment conference on the cases brought before the Constitutional Court by the parties to the dispute, held last March, during which the Justices decided to arrange a meeting between the parties, with the aim of better understanding the motivations and grounds underlying the cases submitted to the Court.

The meeting was also attended by the Director of the Political Parties Office and the Director of the Technical Advisory and Case Law Office, Mauro Alexandre and Adlezio Agostinho, respectively.

Founded on 27 May 2022, the Angolan Humanist Party currently has two Members in the National Assembly.
