The President of the Constitutional Court, Justice Laurinda Prazeres, held a brief courtesy meeting in her office on Monday, 20 April 2026, with the Attorney General of the Republic, Pedro Mendes de Carvalho.

At the meeting, which was also of an institutional nature, the Attorney General of the Republic expressed to the President of the Constitutional Court his readiness, and that of the institution he heads, to cooperate in a coordinated manner with the bodies of the justice system, in the context of strengthening legality and the rule of law.

At the end of the visit, the Attorney General of the Republic and his team paid a brief visit to the Gallery of Angolan Constitutionalism.

It should be recalled that Pedro Mendes de Carvalho was sworn into office on 20 March this year by the President of the Republic, replacing Hélder Pitta Grós.
