The appellant, a defendant in criminal proceedings in Lubango, lodged an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against an order of the President of the Supreme Court rejecting his complaints against the summary dismissal of his request for adversarial pre-trial investigation and of his appeals, including against the committal order. He invoked the guarantees of criminal procedure. The Court dismissed the appeal, since adversarial pre-trial investigation is not mandatory and he could present his defence and evidence at trial.
