A citizen sentenced by the Supreme Court to a single term of 13 years' imprisonment lodged an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against that judgment but filed no submissions, despite being notified and granted additional time. The Court declared the appeal abandoned and the proceedings terminated, because the lack of submissions prevented the scope of the appeal from being defined and the alleged unconstitutionality from being examined, under the Code of Civil Procedure and the Constitutional Procedure Law.
