Several citizens occupying units in a building confiscated by the State lodged an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against the Supreme Court judgment recognising the former owner's heirs as lawful owners after the confiscation had been annulled by a 2012 decree, invoking the principle of irreversibility of nationalisations and confiscations. The Court dismissed the appeal, as that principle covers only confiscations regularly decreed and the Administration must annul unlawful acts.
