TAAG – Linhas Aéreas de Angola, EP lodged an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against the judgment of the Labour Chamber of the Supreme Court that found a worker's dismissal unfounded and ordered his reinstatement with back pay, arguing that the law allowed it to opt for compensation instead. The Court dismissed the appeal, holding that it is not its role to reinterpret ordinary legislation and that there was no breach of the principle of legality or of the right to a fair trial.
