The company COMATEL, Lda. brought an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against a judgment of the Labour Chamber of the Supreme Court upholding the nullity of workers' dismissals, invoking the principle of legality, as to the form of proceedings, joinder and notice period, and a fair trial, alleging failure to rule. The Court dismissed the appeal because the Supreme Court had decided the relevant questions with reasons and breached no constitutional principles or rights.
