The appellant, detained since 2021 for criminal association, undue receipt of advantage, abuse of power and money laundering, lodged an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against the Supreme Court's refusal of habeas corpus for pre-trial detention exceeding 24 months. As the Court had meanwhile decided, by Judgment No. 922/2024, the appeal concerning his conviction, it declared the proceedings closed as moot.
