The President of the Constitutional Court, Justice Laurinda Prazeres Monteiro Cardoso, held a courtesy meeting on the morning of this Wednesday, 28 August 2024, with the officials of the Justice Provident Fund (Caixa de Previdência da Justiça, CPJ).

At the meeting, the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Provident Fund, the jurist Amor de Fátima Mateus da Silva, presented the Provident Fund’s Action Plan, with the measures required for implementation in the period ahead, and requested institutional support from the President of the Constitutional Court with a view to reorganising the association she heads, in order to restore the confidence of the organisation’s almost 5,000 members.

The Justice Provident Fund, founded in 2014, is a non-profit association which court officials, judges and members of the Public Prosecution Service may join, and which aims to provide them with social benefits and other guarantees provided for in its statutes.

The Executive Director for Protocol and Member Management, Rui de Abreu Marcelino, and the Executive Director for Finance, Esperança do Espírito Santo Gonçalves Ribeiro da Silva, also took part in the meeting.
