In recognition of her contribution and of the relevant services she has rendered to the cause of Peace and to the Development of the country, the citizen and President of the Constitutional Court, Justice Laurinda Prazeres, was decorated by the President of the Republic, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, last Wednesday, 10 September 2025, with the Medal in the Peace and Development Class.

The distinction was awarded within the framework of the celebrations of the 50th Anniversary of National Independence and in strict compliance with Law No. 2/25 of 18 March 2025.

With a professional career marked by merit and dedication, Laurinda Prazeres, born on 17 June 1975, holds a law degree from Agostinho Neto University.

Throughout her career, she has held positions of high responsibility, most notably Director of the Legal Office of the Ministry of Territorial Administration, member of the Superior Council of the Public Prosecution Service, member of the Association of Labour Lawyers of Angola and member of the Provincial Council of the Angolan Bar Association.

She also served as Secretary of State for Territorial Administration.
