The President of the Constitutional Court, Justice Laurinda Prazeres, is travelling this Monday to the Province of Benguela to take part in the Conference on the Extraordinary Appeal on Grounds of Unconstitutionality, organised by the Benguela Provincial Council of the Angolan Bar Association.

The event will take place in the auditorium of the Dom Amaral Pastoral Centre on Tuesday, 16 September 2025, and is scheduled to begin at 9.00 am.

As a speaker, the President of the Constitutional Court will address “The Constitutional and Humanist Dimension of the Extraordinary Appeal on Grounds of Unconstitutionality”.

The conference will also feature the participation of the lawyers Benja Satula and Nilsa Correia, the Court of Appeal judge Irineu Costa and the Deputy Attorney General of the Republic, Africano Gamboa, among other guests.

According to the organisers, the initiative forms part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of National Independence and of 17 September, National Hero’s Day.
