Full Professor Ettore Maria Lombardi, a specialist in Private Law and International Business Law at the University of Florence, will deliver a keynote lecture (Aula Magna) on Monday, 9 February 2026, on “Ethical Boundaries in the Use of Artificial Intelligence in the Angolan Judicial System”.

The event, which will be organised by the Constitutional Court in partnership with the Catholic University of Angola, will take place in the Auditorium of the university's University Extension Building, in Largo das Escolas, and will bring together university students from various fields.

The initiative is part of the Semana da Constituição (Constitution Week) and aims to provide participants with a conceptual grounding in artificial intelligence, as well as to promote critical reflection on the impact of the use of algorithms in the justice system.

Ettore Maria Lombardi, who has a solid academic and scientific record, recently obtained an advanced certification in Artificial Intelligence from the Oxford Saïd Business School, where he carries out research on the impact of AI on the European legal system. In addition to directing executive courses in Alternative Investment and in Art and Law, he has extensive experience in corporate structures and the banking sector, and is the author of more than sixty scientific publications in journals specialising in private law, commercial law and financial markets.
