It was with deep sorrow and dismay that the Bench and the staff of the Constitutional Court learned of the passing of the Honourable retired Justice, Dr Agostinho António Santos, which occurred in November of this year.
Retired Justice Agostinho Santos was one of the first group of Justices appointed to the Constitutional Court, and performed his duties with pride and dedication from June 2008 to March 2018.
Accordingly, at this moment of sadness and grief, on behalf of the Justices and staff of the Constitutional Court and on my own behalf, I extend my most heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and express our solidarity with them.
