During the visit, the First Lady toured the 385 square metres of the Gallery, which is organised into thematic sections and brings together more than a thousand items, including historical documents, images, artefacts and other symbolic elements that portray the main milestones of constitutionalism in Angola over the 50 years of National Independence.
In the visitors' book, the First Lady wrote that the creation of the Gallery constitutes a testimony to, and a permanent commitment to, the defence of the Constitution and of the fundamental values of the democratic State based on the rule of law, and also acknowledged the work carried out by the judges of the Constitutional Court.
“I express my deep appreciation to the President of the Constitutional Court and to the team of Justices of this Court, an institution which, by the nobility of its mission, plays an essential role in favour of justice, citizenship and the rights of all citizens.”
